One day, I will need to interview this person, Pashtrik Hoxha,
A fellow onepointfive.

After a few hot sake at Ken bar last night, we find out that theres actually a lot of things that we hold in common.

quote from Pashtrik
"hope, was the only thing to keep me alive"
"a lot of the time, I wanted to be a tree, a building,
something that can be camouflage in to the surrounding.

[apad] shades 005

My current fascination lies with shades, shadow and gradient.
Ever since my self direct study “onepointfive” in end of 2005,

I have been amuse by the simple subtle changes that shadow makes over a period of time.

The fluctuation of shadow intensity deals with level of luminosity that generated and exposed on to a surface. The balance of nature always takes place quietly on a corner of your eye sight.

[apad] devour 004

investigate dicover devour

Investigate, discover and devour

Lam email this jpeg to my gmail this morning, a combination of words.

Investigate, discover and devour.

I had to look up Webster for what devour really means.
Lam has been really good at opening up my vocabularies.

Devour
Pronunciation: di-'vau(&)r, dE-Function: transitive verbEtymology: Middle English, from Middle French devourer, from Latin devorare, from de- + vorare to devour -- more at
VORACIOUS1 : to eat up greedily or ravenously2 : to use up or destroy as if by eating 3 : to prey upon 4 : to enjoy avidly - de·vour·er noun

Time to investigate discover then devour I suppose,
Things hasn’t been going well this week, both personally and cultural signals,
Starting up is always the hard part of a project,
And being the project myself, sometime it’s so hard.
Especially being born overseas, or having an Asian surname in a non-Asian country.

However, it was my decision to give up the opportunity with Taiwan and for the love of city Auckland I came back. It is a city that you love and hate.

At this stage, the question to ask my self is, can I still afford to follow my heart.
Or just hope that luck is just around the corner?

I don’t know. We will see.

Its big and its round.
My new swiss ball arrived today.
It is replacing my old chair,
Mike said its better for my core and posture;
I just think its fun bouncing around.

Actually, it does help me to be more aware of my posture, I usually spend about eight hours in front of a monitor now, sore back, physiotherapy and chiropractor are like everyday life. Going to the gym has been helping me strengthening my back, so all thanks to mike eh?

NZ Listener - Wooing the Dragon

Everyone should get hold a copy of NZ Listeners (june 17-23 2006), In their cover story " Wooing the Dragon" tell us abit more about New Zealand's general public's relation and ideas about China at this stage.

"On the other side of the equation, Asians comprise only 0.6
percent of
journalism students in this country, though that may change a
little if Lincoln
Tan's weekly newspaper iball gains traction. "

"His concern about the dearth if interaction
between Pakeha New Zealand and minority ethnic communities is echoed by
Hooson,
who says: "We all like to think that we're a friendly welcoming
country, but in
reality it's not just that the chinese aren't connecting
with New Zealanders -
New Zealanders aren't making much of an effort to
connect with them; and in fact
the racism that a lot of them experience
here
is quite shocking. "

This is about cultural acceptance, tolerance and (mis)perceptions.

please check the cover story your self.

think about us being New Zealanders as well as us being ethnic minorities.

Mr. Saju
Saju,

A man with the biggest heart has finished his scholarship funded architecture study and decided to return home.

Home, where family await for him. Mother land Samoa.

We send him of this morning, 3am to be exact.
Departing at the airport, the boys were holding their feelings within.

So much has been through in the last five years; it is only until the final year of architecture that I finally got to know Saju well, a decent man. I am quite lucky to be surrounded with a group of decent friends.

Saju was like an older brother for us, looking after us providing advice.

Farewell Saju,
We will miss you, your lovely character, beautiful smile and your way of life.

Wish you all the best.

pegs,
One of those little everyday object that you take it for granted,
Of many uses, pegs gives everything it got as a cheap made-in-china mass produced item.

timber and metal,
joinery and force;

tightens and connects multiple items.

Shades that's fascinates people, shadow creates existence, that is why Tadao Ando’s flat concrete walls can hold and showcase such emotion through light dancing off its surface.

Repetition of a single object can always bring attention towards the viewer, there are probably over 10 different shades exist through these individual pegs.

or
Its just full of shit.
I say.

Its just stimulating to me in its own indescribable way.
